Flordaguard Root Stock

Flordaguard root stock is a good choice for sandy  or lighter soils. It is an American hybrid  that was created by crossing Prunus Persica with P. davidiana. It is highly sensitive to free-lime or wet conditions.

Flordaguard is reasonably nematode-resistant, and has a low cold requirement.

Due to it's vigorous nature, it requires summer pruning. Flordaguard has red leaves, which makes identifying the scion and understock graft easier than with other varieties.
