Mariana Root Stock

Mariana root stock is a slightly dwarfing root stock that is tolerant of wet soils. Due to it's shallow root system, any tree planted on mariana rootstock may have a tendency to lean. Although mariana is highly susceptible to bacterial canker, it withstands other diseases relatively well. It is resistant to phytophthora, root-knot nematode, crown and root rot- amongst others.
